SaLT Program

Spiritual and Leadership Training (SaLT)

The SaLT program is for teens ages 15-18 and is designed to help guide and train you to be a better leader in your schools and communities as well as in the next step to becoming a counselor here at Fair Haven. This program will also be offered in one 5 week session and will cost $400. This cost will cover your room and meals, study materials,  training, camp t-shirt, and Group picture of your 5 week session.

SaLT will also have a director(s) overseeing their training. The SaLT Director will report to the Program Director(s) and will lead the students in Community Service Projects, Bible study training, learning to assist with various activity classes, as well as learning the importance of having not only personal devotions, but how to lead cabin devotions with campers. You will have the opportunity to have firsthand experience in the cabin during part of your training, as counselor assistants as well as service in other areas of camp. Those successfully completing their training, and upon the recommendation of their Director, will have the opportunity to apply for a Junior Counselor position.

Completion of this program does not guarantee a position at Fair Haven, but is strongly recommended to apply for a Junior Counselor position.

Last year’s SaLT graduates now have the opportunity to apply for Junior Counselor Positions for this summer.
