Each week of camp students are welcome to register for our English Equestrian program. This program will include: riding instruction in all basic skills(mount, dismount, stop, start, steer) as well as posting on the proper diagonal, 2 point position, & using their seat & legs to guide the horse. Canter work, lateral work, trail riding, & jumping are taught as riders gain skills & advance through the levels. Students will also learn about Natural Horsemanship, which involves building a trusting relationship between horse and rider, and equine management skills. The goal is to prepare students to be well round equestrians – knowing not only how to ride and bond with their horse but also how to properly care for their health, nutrition, and well being.
Equestrian students will also have the opportunity to participate in other camp activities apart from the barn. They will spend each morning and most evenings at the barn but can sign up for traditional activities for the afternoon.
